DAILY THOUGHTS

APRIL 2022

You were once brave enough to try something new but then you stopped trying other new things because you got used to that first feeling of finally being C O M F O R T A B L E. Obviously, no one really wants to live in being uncomfortable but how else are you supposed to grow or learn? Fear comes from negative thoughts of uncertainty but why do we as human beings always resort to the negative ideas instead of the positive ones first? That is called a “Mental Loop” or a “Negative Feedback Loop” which means that we constantly replay what-if scenarios in our head over and over eventually creating anxiety. Instead of feeding into that negative part of your brain, start consciously training yourself to develop optimistic scenarios. It’s not going to be a quick fix when it comes to being more positive but it’s an excellent way to start forming a good habit toward it.

- learn to love yourself more.

The love you
desperately seek
from others is
needed from
yourself.

DAILY THOUGHTS

JULY 2022

IS WHAT YOU HAVE NOT PLEASING?

Appreciating what you have versus what you want can be challenging. Whether in regards to the people in your life, things you admire, or opportunities you wish you had. Gratitude can often be overlooked because of the way we think. Nothing in our life is ever guaranteed to us. God took his precious time to create each one of our journeys, we should take a little more time to be grateful every day. You may want a bigger, fancier car than the one you have but thank God first for the one you already drive because it gets you where you need to go. You want a better job that pays much more than your current one but thank God first that you even have a job. You've always wanted a nicer life with all the luxurious things you've ever dreamed of having but thank God first that you're healthy and even alive. It's perfectly okay to want more but a wise individual once said to me"Don't get so caught up in wanting that perfect vision that you forget to enjoy the reality that's already in front of you."

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

JUNE 2022

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

As individuals, why do we always move the goal post when it comes to ourselves, but have absolutely no problem giving others the leeway to be "human"?

It can be very easy to fall into the"sunken place" when we don't constantly address our thoughts and monitor our behavior.
This is the place where nothing but negativity and dark thoughts have the power to devour you. But who is fueling this place?

Sadly, ourselves.

We don't allow ourselves to mess up or have a moment of broadening. We kick and beat ourselves up when we are already down. But imagine teaching a child how to be independent. We typically are gentle and patient with them because we understand they are learning something they've never experienced before. So how come we can't show that same compassion towards ourselves? We are all children in God's eyes and he wants us to be child-like so why are we always so mean and hard on ourselves?

You deserve compassion and understanding, patience and gentleness, love and kindness.

You deserve to BE human. We can't spread love and peace to others if we can't give those things to ourselves.

Give yourself the necessary space and time to grow.

Treat yourself like someone you love and care about because that's the type of love you truly deserve.

DAILY THOUGHTS

MAY 2022

PLEASE RECONNECT YOUR DEVICE

The precursor to our 2020s is no comparison to our current reality. This experience has truly shaken and traumatized us all in some form. Personally, it seems like life turned up the heat, specifically in terms of a mental and emotional state of mind.

Do you feel disconnected from the rest of the world? Others? Yourself?

I think we all do.

But how does one become disconnected from themselves?

Maybe it's because you've drifted from God. Maybe, it's because you stopped listening to your body and started neglecting it. Or maybe, you've been trying so hard to get back to whatever sense of "normal" there is left, that you lost a part of yourself. If this recent pandemic taught us anything, it's that life is inevitably unpredictable. There is no such thing as "normal". God puts us through trials because growth doesn't happen in complacency. It happens in problem-solving. You may have outgrown your past self, but that just means it's time to grow into a new one. We aren't born capable of wearing an adult-sized shoe. We have to allow ourselves to grow into it. So in this weird gray area our world is living in, embrace the discomfort. Ask God more frequently for guidance, understanding, and reassurance because while our world is constantly changing,
God has continued to remain the same.

THE SAME SPOT.

Being complacent is a tricky thing.

You were once brave enough to try something new but then you stopped trying other new things because you got used to that first feeling of finally being C O M F O R T A B L E. Obviously, no one really wants to live in being uncomfortable but how else are you supposed to grow or learn.
No, that doesn’t mean go jump out of an airplane just because (If that’s your thing, I commend you lol) but at some point, you have to step out of your comfort zone.

Especially if the life you currently live isn’t the life you truly desire. Fear comes from negative thoughts of uncertainty but why do we as human beings always resort to negative ideas instead of the positive ones first. I learned that is called a “Mental Loop” or a “Negative Feedback Loop” which means that we constantly replay what-if scenarios in our head over and over that eventually create anxiety. Instead of feeding into that negative part of your brain, start consciously training yourself to create positive scenarios.

It’s not going to be a quick fix when it comes to being more optimistic but it’s an excellent way to start forming a good habit toward it.

SHINE BRIGHTER

Why do we keep doubting our greatness before it even has a chance to shine?

We were expected to dream as big as our little hearts could when we were little. But when we get older that same encouragement to be great diminishes
as if the idea of dreaming has suddenly become naïve. Dreams aren’t created to be unrealistic, they are made to be obtainable. So why is it so easy to see what could
go W R O N G and not what could go R I G H T. That’s where faith in God and faith in yourself come from. We stress over other people’s opinions without realizing
where those types of thoughts can come from.

People usually doubt others because they gave up on themselves and their dreams and they lacked discipline when it came to what they allowed to enter their own minds.
When we give our dreams to God and trust Him to show us the way he teaches us to believe in ourselves and use the gifts He has already instilled in us.
Most of our doubt comes from a lack of self-confidence. Learning to believe in yourself truly is probably one of the most important resources you’ll ever need to be successful.

DAILY THOUGHTS

MARCH 2022

GET LOST IN WHAT YOU LOVE

Getting lost in what you love means allowing yourself to live freely sometimes.

Allow yourself to be submerged into just being Y O U for once. As human beings, we often get distracted by the daily struggles of living in a world
that promotes constantly being busy. We then forgot all about what truly makes us happy. The things that bring us peace and joy.
That’s why it’s important to have balance in your life. You shouldn’t be moving continuously without a “Fun Break” in life. That’s not what life should be about.
Yes, be willing to take on the responsibilities that create your life, but don’t forget about the necessary duties that G R A T I F Y your whole existence too.

Stopping to catch your breath should be just as important as paying bills or going to work.

BIBLICALLY SPEAKING

FEBRUARY 2022

FOLLOW YOUR FEET

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Learn how to believe in yourself and in your purpose.

Don't feel discouraged when others judge you or look at you sideways when it comes to your goals and dreams.

You were called to this.

This is your season.

It isn't anyone else's place to see YOUR vision.

Will it be easy.? Of course not.

Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many others trying to get in your way or stop you.

You will go through trials and hardships.

But don't be misled.

Everything works together and everything happens for a reason.

Let life TEACH you, not beat you down.

BIBLICALLY SPEAKING

JANUARY 2022

THE TIME WILL NEVER BE RIGHT

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19

Waiting for the time to be "just right" is like waiting for your life to finally be just perfect.
That's a false reality, especially when it comes to doing things, you're simply just afraid to do.
Because the "right time" doesn't exist, it's just something we often tell ourselves to justify why we haven't made that specific move yet.
While waiting for the right time, you’re wasting the current time you have because no matter what you still have to make the move. That’s how you grow.
Doing something simple or extraordinaire still requires the same effort. You can’t envision a certain life but never take the necessary steps to actually get there.

Stop waiting for life to suddenly come together in a single moment and enjoy the mess. Life's messes are all a part of the process.
You can't measure your growth if you have no failures to compare it to. And you can’t learn if you never make any mistakes.
Stop placing limits on yourself.

The time is always right.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

JANUARY 2022

GROW WITH THE FLOW

We often get so caught up in the idea of Perfection.

The perfect life.

The perfect body.

The perfect career.

But the word "Perfect" can be overused in unrealistic situations. We as human beings were never created to be perfect.

However, it is possible to see things as "good enough". It all depends on your willingness to be open with life.

There's no such thing as a perfect life, but there can be a life you thoroughly enjoy.

Don't stress over the small things you can't control, just learn to enjoy all the flaws of your life.

It's YOUR journey and it's what makes you, you.

DAILY THOUGHTS

DECEMBER 2021

THE GIFT OF TIME

This year I've realized that maybe the reason every day feels the same or the holidays don't feel like the holidays anymore, is because we forgot how to value time.

I don't think it's because we grew up, I think it's because society puts a huge emphasis on an "Extra Busy Life + Accomplishments + Money = Success"
but I don't see "Happiness" in the equation. Like yeah, I've always wanted to be great at everything I do and capable of becoming extremely wealthy one day
but I miss being genuinely happy. I miss when every day had its own special feeling.
I miss that warm feeling you get when you know it's almost Christmas time.

But now every day feels the same.

We have to re-learn how to appreciate our days again and stop focusing too far ahead.
To just enjoy the now is one of my current goals because the next 24 hours aren't promised.
So why not give your current 24 hours the best of you.

DAILY THOUGHTS

NOVEMBER 2021

Do you ever feel like some people don’t understand you?

Maybe it’s because they’re not supposed to.

It’s easy to forget that life is only cultivated by what we, ourselves, make it.

Though we interact with others on a daily basis, no one else has lived the life you’ve lived.

No one has the same experiences as you, no one even has the same exact thought process as you.
All these different characteristics make you exclusively unique.
It's good to remind yourself that life is whatever you make it to be.

Everybody isn't going to support everything you do or say.
They can't see the same vision you see because it's not theirs to see.
God gave YOU that vision, not anybody else.

It's up to you to make that vision a reality.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

OCTOBER 2021

PROTECT YOUR ORIGINALITY

I don't care how old you are.

Protect yourself at all times.

What does that mean?

That means it's okay to take care of you first sometimes.

Feed your soul what it loves the most.

Create boundaries to help maintain your mental health.

Take a couple of days a week to do whatever you want to do.

Protect the person you are and what makes you unique because there's only one YOU.

Don't give others the chance to erase or tamper with any of the amazing qualities that make you special.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

OCTOBER 2021

#StayPositive #BeConfident #RelaxMore

Staying Positive is much easier said than done.

But once it becomes a habit, more positive qualities will come such as your confidence in yourself.

Speak more highly of yourself instead of always being doubtful.

Train yourself to see the good in situations.

Being positive is definitely a choice.

Your mind is a powerful thing.

When you fill it with positive thoughts your life will start to change, you'll be a happier person, and you'll finally be able to relax more.

DAILY THOUGHTS

SEPTEMBER 2021

BUT, WHO ARE YOU THO?

The ones who tell you that you “can’t” do something are usually the ones who are really doubting themselves.

There are going to be people throughout your life who are going to doubt your abilities, shun your dreams, and project their fears onto you.
But one thing you can always remind yourself is that at the end of the day YOU are the one who's going to have to live that life.

No one else.

All those "should've — could've — would've" won't mean anything to anyone, especially not to yourself.
So why not just believe in yourself the first time.

Don't worry about what other people have to say even if it is family.
Don't allow others or family to speak negativity over your life.

Doing what makes YOU happy is all that matters.

#HowToBeBold

Bold

/bōld/

adj. (of a person, action, or idea) showing an ability to take risks; confidence, and courage.

To be bold is a choice.

It's already embedded in you, it's just waiting for you to unleash it.

It's how you move, it's how you speak and how you carry yourself.
Being bold means you believe in yourself and don't care about what other people think or say about you.

You're confident in yourself even when others don't understand.
